Our donors are critical to ensuring our continued ability to produce exceptional, socially-relevant theatre and meaningful community programs.

Your gift makes an impact.

Supporting great theatre doesn’t have to be complicated! Your contribution – however you choose to give and whatever the amount – makes an impact.

Your gift supports our mission of being a theatre accessible to all and ensures our award-winning education and engagement programs continue to enrich local communities. Gifts to Ensemble Theatre can be made by cash, check, or credit card and convenient monthly giving plans can easily be arranged.

There are many ways you can support Ensemble Theatre from giving quickly online, donating gifts of stock, or multiplying your contribution with an employer match. Learn more about these and other ways to give along with our exciting donor benefits below.

Monthly giving

Monthly giving is a convenient and easy way to support the theatre! Instead of making one lump-sum donation, sustaining donors give once a month, quarterly, or on a customized schedule.

    • No gift is too small—any amount adds up and truly makes a difference!
    • Choose the 1st or 15th as your monthly billing date.
    • There is no annual commitment and you can change or stop your gift at any time.

Donor-advised funds

Ensemble Theatre accepts contributions made via donor-advised funds and will work with you to make the process easy. By giving through a donor-advised fund, you can maximize your tax benefit while also supporting the theatre. As with a retirement plan or life insurance policy, you likewise can make a legacy gift by listing Ensemble Theatre as a charitable beneficiary of your existing donor-advised fund.

Your financial advisor or institution can provide additional details or assist in establishing a donor-advised fund. More information is available through the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.

Gifts of stock

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati gratefully accepts gifts of appreciated stock through our accounts with Charles Schwab and Bartlett Wealth Management.

Matching gifts

Did you know you can double or triple the value of your gift? Many employers have matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions to non-profit organizations.

Ask your human resources department if your company matches donations; if so, they can connect you with the appropriate forms or electronic submission process to submit the request and notify us. If your employer does match your gift, the total amount will determine your donor benefits level!*

*Only gifts made directly by an individual may be considered for their individual tax deduction; corporate matching gifts may not. Consult your tax professional for details.

Give while you shop

Designate Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati as your non-profit beneficiary through the Kroger Community Rewards program. Simply continue to shop as usual, and Kroger will donate a portion of your purchases directly to us—it’s really that easy!

Name your seat

At Ensemble, there’s always a seat with your name on it…well, almost. Celebrate your passion for theatre or honor a loved one by purchasing a seat in the Carothers Theatre. Your investment supports our productions and programs and is a tangible legacy to visit every time attend a show.

    • Named seats are $3,000 and completely tax-deductible
    • Pay in interest-free installments
    • Choose your nameplate’s inscription, up to 30 characters
    • Go in on a seat sponsorship together with friends or family
