Professional Acting Apprenticeships
ETC's Professional Acting Apprenticeship Program is a multi-layered opportunity to gain professional training and work experience. It is a concentrated 10-month program that focuses on training and compensated application of experience in a professional environment.
Over the course of a season, each Apprentice will be given rotating assignments for each show of the season. Working alongside professional members of ETC's team, the Apprentice will experience the many layers of producing theatre professionally.
An ETC Professional Acting Apprentice will receive professional training and education opportunities offered to them free of charge, as well as applied work experience and specific duties for which they will be compensated.
Acting Apprenticies spend one season (August-June) with Ensemble Theatre and are given the opportunity to audition for or understudy suitable main stage roles. They are also guaranteed a performance in their own production at the end of the season. As a Professional LOA-LORT Equity Theatre, Ensemble Theatre offers membership candidacy into the Union (AEA-EMC). Apprentices are immersed in a professional and creative environment that astutely complies with union rules and regulations.
